The weather information contained in it will be summarized for the benefit of other small craft passagemakers. The next level of effort is to complete and return simple narrative forms which will happily be provided. A greater commitment would be to provide more detailed observations according to the international standard for observation. Extreme dedication would involve transmitting that information to the Volunteer Observing Ship program either by long range radio or satellite communications.
